Welcome to Sexton Creek
We are pleased to announce our very first, extremely limited
production Rose of Pinot Noir vintified from organically grown
115 and 667 Burgundy clones. In 2017 we had a fairly cool growing
season and waited out the brief September rains to harvest ripe
fruit at an average of 22 brix. The grapes were crushed locally,
allowed to sit on the skins for slightly over one hour, and then hard
pressed. A long, slow, fermentation process using red wine yeast
was followed by a single racking which yielded a beautifully clear,
moderate ruby wine. After cold stabilization, the wine is now awaiting
bottling.
Tasting Notes
We are releasing our estate bottled 2017 Sexton Creek Pinot Noir Rosé.
This marks our very first small-lot vintage of Sexton Creek Rose, a
refreshing ruby-pink wine that smells and tastes of freshly picked
strawberry, raspberry and a touch of lime. Drink it with grilled giant prawns with lemony zucchini saffron risotto, it is sure to wake up your
palate.
